I think you made a good decision about putting the baby up for adoption rather than aborting it and I commend you for going out of your way to do so. Sure, aborting a child while be the most convenient option, it would have also been the most controversial. Instead, you took the high road and I’m glad that your choice was selfless and looking after the baby despite your initial apathy toward him.
Furthermore, I think every teenager in this specific position should care for their child, after all it is their responsibility. Even though things may seem grim, there is usually a second option from aborting a child and I am glad that Juno spent a little extra time searching for a solution of best interest to the child.
Finally, I do believe that women should still reserve the right to abort a child, especially when circumstances aren’t practical. Luckily, Juno didn’t have any more drama to deal with, which can be an issue for teens under this situation, and more importantly Juno was open to her parents- allowing the family to discuss their options. I think abortion should be made more of a detriment by raising the price of it, which will hopefully discourage teens from choosing this as a first option.
